Dinosaurs Roam: Jake and Dinos Chapman at the Cass Sculpture Foundation

Roaming the grounds of Goodwood, Jake and Dinos Chapman’s mammoth steel sculptures have arrived at the Cass Sculpture Foundation.
‘The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth, but not the Mineral Rights’ consists of three largescale sculptures made of corten steel and standing as high as 8 meters. Entitled ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’, the sculptures will be on display among the woodlands of the Cass Sculpture Foundation from the 14th April 2017.
For over a decade, the collaboration between Jake and Dinos Chapman has seen the pair develop a colossal and controversial body of work, responding to such themes as repressed human violence and the presupposed innocence of children.

'The Meek Will Inherit the Earth, but not the Mineral Rights' in the grounds of the Cass Sculpture Foundation.
In contrast to the large steel sculptures and the fabrication of 'Hell', a seminal Chapman Brother’s work, the everyday materials used in ‘Two Legs Bad, Four Legs Good’ act as a retort to the destruction of valuable work.
On display in the gallery, the exhibition comprises 31 miniature sculptures, crafted from poster-paint, cardboard and papier-mâché. The work’s infantile construction includes a bucket of eyeballs floating in blood, a perplexed looking farmer and a collection of ominous crows.
