Herbin is the world's oldest name in pen inks and dates back to 1670. This was before the French Revolution and Napoleon and around the nib steel nib dip pens began to replace quills. The J Herbin company have been making inks ever since and can include Louis XIV to Coco Chanel amongst its past customers.
Today Herbin produce a wide range of beautiful fountain pen and calligraphy inks, writing instruments and numerous writing accessories. Herbin inks are made in France and the finishing touches to each ink bottle are still done by hand.
