C Roberson's Imitation Gold Metal Leaf is a very reasonably priced alternative to real gold leaf that's perfect when you want to cover a large area or whenever real gold leaf wouldn't be economical.
You apply it just as you would real gold, but remember to protect it with shellac or C Roberson Universal Lacquer to prevent it tarnishing.
