Product Overview

This Cornelissen rabbit skin glue comes in a granulated product for sizing canvas prior to priming. Natural animal hide glue is used in traditional canvas sizing but rabbit skin glue usually offers the highest strength, viscosity and elasticity.

  • Used to seal and protect cotton and linen canvas before priming with oil based primers.
  • Do not use under acrylic primer.
  • Use one part rabbit skin glue granules to thirteen parts water.
  • Leave to soak overnight, then heat gently until all the glue is disolved.
  • Do not allow the liquid to boil.
  • Apply one or two coats.
  • Use while still warm.
