EXHIBITION: ABSTRACT OCEANIC ART TO UPLIFT & INSPIRE
23rd Feb 2024
Welcome to Rossie’s artistic world, where the beauty of the ocean and abstract expression converge. The ocean, with all its mystery and depth, inspires Rossie’s work. So full of wonder, beauty, power and serenity, the ocean also speaks of who we are as people. With acrylic paint and silicone oil, using paint pouring techniques, Rossie creates intricate patterns and textures, allowing the paint to flow naturally and form unique shapes. Each piece evolves organically, capturing the dynamic and ever-changing nature of the sea. Rossie is a Bristol based artist with a mission to uplift and inspire the world through her art.
Rossie Henderson-Begg is a Bristol-based oceanic abstract artist with a background in drama and global missions work. Raised with a love for painting, singing, and performing, Rossie’s artistic journey began early but became a central part of her life after a personal tragedy in 2018. Inspired by Parker J. Palmer’s ‘Let Your Life Speak’, Rossie committed fully to her art and embraced her affinity with the ocean. Rossie’s creations combine acrylic paint, silicone oil, and organic elements to produce fluid, vibrant works inspired by the mystery, depth and detail of the ocean, including the beauty of Australia’s coastal landscapes, after spending 3 years as a missionary in Darwin. To date Rossie has exhibited and sold work in North Street Gallery in Bristol, Brick Lane Gallery in London, Cass Art in Bristol, Grace Network in Stroud, 8 local arts trails, a PWC exhibition in London, and Bath Contemporary Artists’ fair. Now pursuing her art career full-time while raising her 3 children with her husband Kyle, Rossie aims to bring wonder into homes and public spaces, hoping her pieces inspire viewers.
