Posca markers are brilliant, lightfast and water-based pigment paint based art pens that can be used on almost any surface, including glass, leather, canvas, textiles, paper, stone, plastic and metal. They come in a wide selection of colours and nib sizes making them perfect for a variety of artistic uses such as wall art, textile painting, posters and sign writing.

They come in a variety of tip sizes and colours, including both standard and pastel colours. The tips are made of a porous, fibrous material that can be pushed down to release more ink, and are able to cover both small and large areas with ease. The ink is fast-drying and water-resistant once dry, and can be used on a variety of surfaces including paper, canvas, metal, glass, and more.

One of the main advantages of Posca markers is their versatility. They can be used to create fine lines and detailed drawings, or to fill in large areas with bold, vibrant colors. They're popular among artists because they can create the effect of a brush stroke, with good blending capability. They are also great for calligraphy, graffiti and lettering.

POSCA pens work on a range of surfaces including paper, card, stone, glass, ceramic, leather, fabric, wood and plastic, making them the perfect pen for up-cycling, personalising clothes, creating decorations or designing a greeting. The Following videos showcase the versatility and breadth of surfaces they can be used on.

USING POSCA ON FABRIC AND TEXTILES

Posca markers can be used on fabrics, and can be a great way to add color and design to clothing, accessories, and other textile items. Here are a few tips for using Posca markers on fabrics:

Tip! if you are working on a natural fiber fabric, it is recommended to use Posca PC-5M, as they are designed to be used on porous surfaces.

POSCA AND LEATHER

Posca pens work on leather too so whatever your style you can use your Posca skills to give your clothes a unique look.

Here we show you how to update a leather jacket with a simple floral design in gold Posca brush pen.

Tip! Ensure you wipe the leather down with a cloth that has warm water on it. Spend around a minute or two wiping down the leather as it tends to offer a vast improvement to the end result of your artwork.

POSCA AND CERAMIC

Pottery or earthenware, stoneware or glazed terracotta… there are many categories of ceramics. Most are made with fired clay. This medium, often associated with traditional crafts, provides fertile ground for many types of creation. POSCA is ideally suited to creativity using ceramics.

Tip! Clean the surface with a cloth and ensure it is dry before starting work. Also, If your ceramic is treated, the time Posca paint takes to dry will be longer and creations based on lines will be more suitable.
