I am a London based Illustrator and Visual Merchandising Manager here at Cass Art. My work is known for having clean lines and bold colour palettes. I get my inspiration from my love of storytelling and creating narratives between characters.

When asked to create a mural for our Kids department in Islington, I knew it had a be a rainforest. Firstly, because kids would recognise the animals and secondly, to express how important rainforests are to keeping our earth’s climate stable.

Rainforests are lush green environments with incredible biodiversity which meant I had an endless choice of creatures to illustrate. Initially, I researched rainforest habitats and then sketched any flora or fauna that interested me or had texture that could translate well into my illustration style.

Starting with the back wall, I created the main illustration. This took a lot of thought as I needed to use poses that would work with the all the doors and alcoves. I wanted the viewers to notice different details as they walked downstairs and through the kids department. I’m really pleased with the way this turned out and enjoyed collaborating with the Cass Art design department.
